Description Fab 2009-07-15 18:17:01 UTC
Few days ago I added usersync to FEATURES. Please have a look to the attached emerge --sync log.

For example :

rsync: failed to set times on "/usr/portage/sci-biology/phred": Operation not permitted (1)

Yes, because :

$ ls -l /usr/portage/sci-biology/ | grep phred
drwxr-xr-x 2 root    root    4096 févr. 27 01:07 phred

It is owned by root.

Reproducible: Always

It would be a waste of resources to check all permissions every time. I think we only need to document the initial permissions setup that is required.

This is fixed in 2.1.13 and 2.2.0_alpha189.
