x86 stable
Comment 4 Sven 2009-07-01 09:32:57 UTC
It seems, that beta16 doesn't install *.la files which causes sdl-image to fail on x86.

Again: beta16 doesn't seem to install *.a and *.la files. Should this be reported as a sdl-image bug? Or can this be fixed in the beta16 ebuild?

IMHO, this is a regression/blocker.
beta14 installed *.a and *.la files.

ppc64 stable
Comment 8 Tony Vroon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-11 00:43:27 UTC
Already handled as part of bug #275982; removing AMD64 CC.
Comment 9 Johannes Rauh 2009-07-16 19:13:08 UTC
Somehow Beta16 does not install libcucul, which is installed by beta14.

Examples:
$ mplayer
mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libcucul.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So now mplayer does not work anymore with the libcaca USE flag.
Comment 10 svrmarty 2009-07-19 13:14:00 UTC
sure it does

just re-emerge mplayer
