The following lines were removed from the genkernel.conf. # Add new kernel to grub? # BOOTLOADER="grub" From looking at the repository it seems that at some point grub was removed but later restored. However the config file was not reverted. See this commit log: http://git.wolf31o2.org/gitweb/?p=projs/genkernel.git;a=commitdiff;h=6e47f147d85bd0d95ad76912e508e56de4dabc7b genkernel --help shows --bootloader=grub is still usable so that is a temporary workaround i'm using but I think the config file should be reverted. Reproducible: Always
Sounds like a reasonable theory to me, probably genkernel maintainers will agree that was an oversight. Thanks for the report.
Yes, this was an oversight. It's been restored. However, you could have always added the line yourself. All that was removed previously was a commented out example line.
Both the latest stable release as well as the code on master in Git do contain the lines on BOOTLOADER. Closing as fixed.
