Trying to emerge kmuddy-0.8 fails. Not much else to say, I guess.. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge kmuddy 2. 3. I have the ~amd keyword set globally, though 0.8 would have been the atom of choice for me even without it.

What version of KDE are you trying to build against? Also, please attach the full build log; it can be helpful to have more context.

It's supposedly empty, which it definitely is NOT...
Hm kmuddy needs kde 3, not kde 4. Do you have any kde 3 libraries installed in parallel with your 4.2.4?
Please attach the entire build log. Compressed it's too large.

Looks like KDE 4 headers getting mixed in, similar to bug 253624. Assigning to maintainers to try to straighten out this confusion.
I just created bug 278506. There's a new kmuddy version for kde4 available since July 19, 2009.
I confirm this bug. I don't know how to modify *.m4 files (or ebuild ?) to have "checking for KDE... libraries /usr/kde/3.5/lib, headers /usr/kde/3.5/include" instead of "checking for KDE... libraries /usr/kde/3.5/lib, headers /usr/include". I build succesfully the source by hand. We have just to correct a "*.m4 file" or the ebuild ; or to add and stabilize kmuddy-1.0-ebuild in portage according bug #278506 (Thanks to Franck Goubert)
Builds fine for me on stable x86 so it's likely it's some local issue.
(In reply to comment #12) > Builds fine for me on stable x86 so it's likely it's some local issue. > I think It's due also for me to a mixing with kdelibs-3.5 and kdelibs-4.3.1. (bug 253624 according to Wormo comment #9).
