Description Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-09 10:01:05 UTC
Please stabilize dev-util/subversion-1.6.2.

Some tests are known to fail in some configurations (time zone, locale, USE flags), so failure of tests causes only warning.

Tests of bindings usually use Subversion libraries from /usr/lib, so these tests are disabled by default.

Stable for HPPA.

A have added sparc to the CC and keyworded dev-util/subversion-1.6.2 for
~sparc. The problem with this series was ">=dev-db/sqlite-3.4[threadsafe]",
and until sqlite-3.6.14.2, the sqlite-3.x series had been broken on sparc. I
cannot extend the ~sparc keyword to -1.6.2-r10 because the kde use flag
requires versions of some parts of kde-4 which have no sparc keyword at all.
So, even though the difference between -1.6.2 and 1.6.2-r10 is the addition of
IUSE=kde (and associated utilities), I have to drop the ~sparc keyword again
for -r10 (or package.use.mask kde for subversion) --- I do not and cannot
keyword pieces of kde effectively.

For subversion-1.6.2, the tests look fine on sparc (or at least the first 5
hours or so of tests do --- eventually I got bored.)
