Symptoms of the bug can be found in this comment: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225999#c60 Insight does not work 'out of the box'. It has a problem with its version of tcl (version 8.4) and xproto versions 7.0.13 and up. A similar bug was fixed previously for tcl so I am wondering if it is a straight forward fix to apply the same patch to the tcl that comes with insight.
