After upgrade hal from version 0.5.12_rc1-r4 to 0.5.12_rc1-r6 pcmanfm don't start. pcmanfm-0.5.1 and hal-0.5.12_rc1-r6 also do not work together. Same error message as above. pcmanfm-0.5.1 and hal-0.5.12_rc1-r4 works fine again.
With sys-apps/hal-0.5.13-r2, sys-apps/dbus-1.3.0 and x11-misc/pcmanfm-0.5.1 the same error. Only after hal downgrade to version 0.5.11-r9 pcmanfm starts without errors. little offtopic: pcmanfm-0.5.1 has no german translations and is only available in english.
pcmanfm has over 40+ translations and german is in that list: /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/pcmanfm.mo If you still are unable to setup language, please open a new bug

My workaround is to compile pcmanfm without the hal use flag. It starts but you must mount your usb sticks or whatever manually.
This bug is over 4 month old, please fix this. I need pcmanfm with hal support. :/

Ok it's fixed! Recompile hal to get the dbus patch to fix the problem with pcmanfm in the unstable tree. Sorry for my impatience. ;)
I'm getting the same problem with x11-misc/pcmanfm-0.5.2, sys-apps/hal-0.5.13 and sys-apps/dbus-1.2.24. I've already recompiled hal, and restart dbus and hal, and pcmanfm keep doing this. The strange thing is that I've upgraded dbus about two days ago...
