Description Maik Schreiber 2003-08-23 19:52:33 UTC
dev-perl/net-ping does not seem to be conformant with the rest of the dev-perl
packages. As such, it should be renamed to dev-perl/Net-Ping.

Then someone needs to hammer out what the rules should be better. Those perl modules that are currently mixed case are only so because they are grandfathered. According to the dev docs, they should be lower case, and that has been the practice for a few months now.

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-howto.xml

"Naming ebuild Files...should only contain lowercase letters, the digits 0-9, and any number of single hyphen ('-') characters"

Until those docs are revised, your bug is invalid.

I know about the lower-case naming, thanks. Oh well, whatever.
