Description Helmut Jarausch 2009-05-18 16:35:24 UTC
net-ftp/gftp-2.0.19 has been running just fine for a long time.
Now, suddenly it segfaults (logwdw_vadj is zero)

Reproducible: Always

Did you rebuild gftp? If it still happens: Please provide "emerge -pvq gftp gtk+". Feel free to provide a meaningful backtrace (See [1]).

-> is it really the gftp from your system or a version you compiled yourself ?

The binary which caused the problem was built with Gentoo. For generating
the backtrace, I built it outside of portage with debugging options.

I've just recognized that on a different machine with nearly identical
hard- and software, gftp doesn't crash.
So, probably, I should trace the differences myself.

please don't do that, follow documentation in [1].

Having reinstalled some packages including gtk+ gftp now works again
without being recompiled.

Thanks!
