Try your updating linux-headers by #emerge linux-headers, this bug has been resolved i think (I had having the same problem with gaming sources)
i see diffrence in <asm/byteorder.h> between 2.4.19 and 2.4.21-grsec. with 2.4.19's headers it works.
Good article about this (kernel/kde?) bug: http://lwn.net/Articles/38384/
If this is a problem in the future, please reopen.
this bit me with linux-headers 2.4.21, kdemultimedia 3.1.4, running ~x86 from scratch.
