Hi,

I pull this in as a dependency of Scilab-5.x.x.

A Matio-ebuild lives in the science overlay for quite some time now, and it works for me(tm). Anyone else?

The matio ebuild works well for me (amd64).

It works well for me too, also with the current version 1.3.3, which is required by the next scilab version 5.2.

Please, add this package to portage, so that FreeMat can be bumped to version 4.1 in portage.
