The error message gives this away: *** Inappropriate build environment: you wanted to use gcc version 4.1.2 while kernel attempts to use gcc version 4.3.2. Please try rebuilding your kernel and then the modules. They need to be built with the same version of gcc, but the error message suggests you've swapped to gcc-4.1.2 whilst the kernel was built using gcc-4.3.2. You can use gcc-config to specify which gcc version you want to use. Please report back once you've tried this to let us know whether it solved the problem or not...
I tried to recompile the kernel with gcc-4.3.2 but fails to compile the package vmware-modules.
Please attach the new build.log.

It's still the same. Go to /usr/src/linux and do "make mrproper". Then recompile the kernel. Then try again. PS: gcc-config -l gives no errors, right?
I tried this steps: 1. make mrproper 2. make && make modules_install 3. cp arch/x86/boot/bzImage /boot/kernel-2.6.27-gentoo-r8 4. emerge vmware-server The last command gives this error: Enable CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS in the kernel. I had built-in this module and recompile the kernel, and tried to recompilare vmware-modules but gives always error in build.log...
What about enabling CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS? (make menuconfig, use "/" to search)
CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS corresponds at Enable unused/obsolete exported symbols in kernel hacking. I've enabled it with flag *.
The ebuild will still check whether CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS is set in the kernel configuration and bomb out if it isn't set. Please ensure it's set, and then post a copy of any errors you may be encountering.
i've alredy set these parameters and the error is located in the first build.log file.
i've alredy set these parameters and the error persist. For more information consult my first build.log
