Comment 1 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-23 21:44:38 UTC
afair, this is not possible, ebuilds in overlay and in tree both have the proper depends. Please check that you have dev-util/gtk-doc-am installed. If so please reinstall it, it should fix it.
Comment 2 David Ripton 2009-04-23 22:24:50 UTC
Manually installing dev-util/gtk-doc-am allowed it to work.

But I disagree that this bug is invalid. Looks like gnome-base/gconf only depends on dev-util/gtk-doc-1 if the doc use flag is defined, but the automake config looks for the doc stuff regardless. So if you have -doc, then the ebuild is broken.
Comment 3 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-23 22:33:31 UTC
I said invalid because ebuilds already depend on gtk-doc-am which is what was missing. Check the ebuild if you don't believe me.
Comment 4 David Ripton 2009-04-24 01:39:20 UTC
Okay, I see the DEPEND on gtk-doc-am. Puzzled why it didn't get pulled in automatically, but it works now, and nobody else seems to be reporting the same problem, so I'm fine with closing this. Thanks.
