When emerging app-editors/kile-2.0.3-r1 compilation fails because it cannot find a required archive /usr/lib/libpcreposix.la

This file is normally from the package dev-libs/libpcre. 
It appears that as from version libpcre-7.8-r1 the .la files are not produced.
see bug #266016.

Kile will compile by masking >dev-libs/libpcre-7.8 but this breaks other packages such as sys-apps/grep-2.5.4-r1 which has dependencies >=dev-libs/libpcre-7.8-r1
