Hello, since xorg-server-1.5 upgrade, it follows xf86-video-intel's upgrade. I decided to upgrade xorg-server-1.5 without hal. But, at the end of emerge -avu --deep world, xf86-video-intel's upgrade from 2.1.1 to 2.6.3-r1 failed. I want to attach the ebuild.log but i don't find the adequate tool.
Created attachment 187774 [details] ebuild.log of xf86-video-intel 's update Here is in attachment the ebuild.log. cheers

Could you paste the output of : - emerge xorg-server -pv - emerge xf86-video-intel -pv Thanks

Try building the intel driver with USE=dri Thanks
(In reply to comment #7) > Try building the intel driver with USE=dri > > Thanks > Thanks, it emerges correctly. fixed
Keeping it open, I need to fix this... or to disable the dri USE flag altogether, I'm not sure. Thanks for testing :)
Note to self (and others in the herd), I'll probably ditch the "dri" USE flag completely for xf86-video-intel 2.8 and force the dep on xorg-server[-minimal]. As all older code paths have been removed from upstream and *building* the Intel driver without DRI2 is now nearly useless, I think the USE flag is a prime candidate for removal. Thanks
