I tried to save it but it seems heavily broken It will be removed in one month unless someone make it work
(In reply to comment #2) > I tried to save it but it seems heavily broken > > It will be removed in one month unless someone make it work > What did you try? I added 2.12 just portage for testing... But if you say it's broken, I have no objections in still removing it. Just wanted to get that bug closed.
I think voyageur/grobian wanted to take this package to gnustep@ herd and save it... Please check before punting 2.12 from tree...
Samuli, I tried 2.11 which was b0rked. I am not aware of the status but if they want to save it, it is fine by me
After some digging: the bug (from RLoadPNG()) is in windowmaker itself, from libwraster, not in wmakerconf. wmsetbg from windowmaker segfaults the same on /usr/share/pixmaps/backgrounds/gnome/abstract/Flow.png. This only happens on large files (small PNG are fine) A (still open) debian is here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=148370 @treecleaners wmakerconf is now assigned to gnustep, I'll remove the mask and look in the windowmaker bug itself
OK, found: the PNG loader uses alloca to load images in memory, which breaks with "big" files. Alt Linux already has a patch to replace it by malloc/free, with this patch wmakerconf and wmsetbg work fine with Flow.png :) Re-assigning before marking fixed
Bumped patchset to 4, and added 0.92.0-r9 in tree
ok, cool, thanks!
