Description Karl Hakimian 2009-04-03 03:09:02 UTC
I spent quite a bit of time tracking down a problem loading data with gdal. It turns out the ogdi driver was failing trying to allocate a huge amount of memory. A bit more searching turns out that 3.1.5 of ogdi is not 64bit clean. This is an upstream issue that has started to be address with 3.1.6. In the mean time, we might want to mask this one for 64 bit platforms.k

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Try using the ogdi driver to load data in gdal ogrinfo gltp:/vrf/...
2.Pull hair out in frustration over good data not being loaded.

Actual Results:
Says it can't find any good data.

Expected Results:
Should load the good data. (BTW. I keep saying good data because it loads find on a 32 bit machine and I have been using it for a while)

Upstream problem

I added 3.1.6. Does this fix his issue?

Yes that one fixes the issue per my testing. Closing as fixed. Tho we should prolly open new bug to stabilise 3.1.6.
