After updating mythtv from mythtv-0.21_p18314-r1 it fails to start. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start mythbackend 2.start mythfrontend 3. Actual Results: JoystickMenuClient Error: Joystick disabled - Failed to open device ! Expected Results: it should start Starting the Frontend with : mythfrontend -O joystick-menu=disabled is a workaround. Manipulating the ebuild with adding a line like myconf="${myconf} --disable-joystick-menu" into the src_configure() - Part of the ebuild does not solve the problem. After compilation it does not start. Even with the -O PARAM it chrashes.

(In reply to comment #1) > Please post your "emerge --info". > Hi Lars ! i'm sorry but i think you can forget about this because i can't reproduce my bug. Why ? Same day as the mythtv-update there was an update for xorg-server. After installing this - my Xserver started to crash. I'm dealing with the problem about G965-GEM-DRI-Intel-driver-kernel-2.6.28 and xorg-1.5. So when i downgraded to the former version - X crashed. Some updated patch probably caused this. So i tried the 28-kernel which was'nt possible right now because of X-crashes with the intel-driver. And - oh wonder - after updating to 2.6.3 of video-intel, X started and even mythtv is starting without any problems. So i can't help with this anymore. Sorry. Karl
