A new major release of GRASS GIS will be released in the next weeks.
3 RC are already available, it would be great if someone can make an ebuild so we can test it and be ready fot the final 6.4.0 Release ;)

as nerdboy is the official maintainer of the current grass ebuild, i think this ebuild request can be assigned to him if he had enought time

As I see it, only final releases will make it into portage, although, GRASS RC5 is termed as the stable release by the GRASS developers.

Anyways, we are at RC5 right now.

I close this old request, the rc5 is working well and soon the rc6 ...
