Patch is working fine for me and fixing the crash since I sent it here. I know that probably you are too busy but, maybe, somebody else could get this in as I think it's severe enough. Thanks a lot
The patch as-is won't work because evolution-data-server is a moving target. Instead I've fixed this unconditionally, and mail-notification-5.4-r1 now depends on evolution 2.24. This combination should work as expected. I'd appreciate some feedback on whether this version fixes things as expected. Getting feedback will help to stabilize this sooner than the normal 4 weeks.
