Description Ludovic Fauvet 2009-03-09 11:12:13 UTC
From time to time, mostly when I unlock my screen (but not limited to) plasma crash and all widgets (task bar, icons and plasmoids) became transparent. They disappear completely when the mouse move over.
This problem occurs with x11-libs/qt-4.4.2 as well as x11-libs/qt-4.5.0.

Reproducible: Sometimes

x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-180.27
x11-base/xorg-server-1.5.3-r2

Comment 2 Ludovic Fauvet 2009-03-09 11:18:07 UTC
The only way I've found to continue my work without restarting the session was to open the task manager, kill plasma and launch plasma trough krunner.

I confirm this one (with much more severe screen corruption though), definitely happened several times I used KDE 4.2.
Comment 4 Maciej Mrozowski gentoo-dev 2009-08-20 21:38:08 UTC
Please try with the most recent KDE - 4.3.0 - for me this issue seems to be gone.
Comment 5 Ludovic Fauvet 2009-08-20 21:41:00 UTC
Confirmed, no more problem in kde 4.3
Comment 6 Alex Alexander (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-20 23:35:29 UTC
seems to be fixed in 4.3.0, closing :)
