I noticed this problem installing Google Earth and Picasa: emerge would fetch the upstream file (i.e.: GoogleEarthLinux.bin) but wouldn't rename it to the right package atom before continuing (i.e. GoogleEarthLinux-5.0.11337.1968_beta.bin). The ebuild has a "->" token in the SRC_URI which lets me expect emerge to rename the file. Calling emerge again produces new copies of the same file to be downloaded but never renamed. Manually renaming the file makes emerge go on and install the package. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -f googleearth 2. 3. Actual Results: These are the packages that would be fetched, in order: Calculating dependencies... done!
