Description Dominik Kapusta (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-02-16 23:10:29 UTC
qTwitter is a simple application allowing to use twitter.com social networking website. It is intended to imitate Twitterrific, known very well to Mac OS X users. Project is hosted on GitHub (http://github.com/ayoy/qtwitter)

Since we have net-misc/twitux for Gnome desktop, let's add net-misc/qtwitter for KDE.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for this application ( and the ebuild ) .

I created a live ebuild too and I put both of them on qting-edge overlay

Dominik,

We are already monitoring this package. Version 0.6.0 is on qting-edge since yesterday. It was kinda broken so I fixed the ebuild .

Live ebuild is there from the beggining :)

Soon I ll bring this to portage :)
Comment 8 Dominik Kapusta (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-29 20:56:56 UTC
Sure, I know that you keep an eye on qtwitter. I just saw that the updated ebuild is incorrect, so I forked qting-edge, fixed this and sent a pull request to you. But since it remained unanswered, I put the updated files here.

Anyway, thanks for putting the correct ebuilds into the overlay :)

Hehe allright

0.6.0 fixes a lot of issues so I guess it is a good candidate for portage :)

I ll test it for a couple of days though before I commit it

On tree now :)

*qtwitter-0.6.0-r1 (30 Apr 2009)

  30 Apr 2009; Markos Chandras <hwoarang@gentoo.org> +metadata.xml,
  +qtwitter-0.6.0-r1.ebuild:
Initial commit for qtwitter application. Thanks to Dominik Kapusta
<d@ayoy.net> for the ebuild and for writting this great application. Fixes bug #259293

But I get the following QA message

 * QA Notice: The following files contain insecure RUNPATH's
 * Please file a bug about this at http://bugs.gentoo.org/
 * with the maintaining herd of the package.
 * /var/tmp/portage/net-im/qtwitter-0.6.0-r1/work/qtwitter/qtwitter-app/../lib usr/bin/qtwitter

Do you have any idea about this? I ll close this bug but feel free to open another one about this error if you know how to fix it :)

Thanks again for this great application
Comment 12 Dominik Kapusta (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-30 16:58:36 UTC
Thanks again for this commit, I'm honored!

Concerning this notice, the problem seems to be that '..' which I use in qmake to reference the main source directory. I'll try to get rid of this tomorrow and, if I find a way, I'll let you know.
