New ebuild for EPICS. I propose "sci-physics" for it. Reproducible: Always This is new ebuild for the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS). The ebuild was tested on x86 and amd64 arcs. It has some questions with the license: I set LICENSE="EPICS" in the ebuild. You can read more about the license issue on their website: http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/license/index.php They state that "... Different parts of EPICS were developed at different places, and are distributed under different licenses ... " and "... It is intended to comply with the Open Source Definition, but has not been submitted for approval to the OSI panel."
Created attachment 180632 [details] Ebuild The ebuild.
Created attachment 180639 [details] Version bump Sorry, I found a new version was released since I wrote that ebuild. Also some small corrections in the ebuild.
Hi, Thanks for the ebuild! I will try it later. Looking at it, there are a few minor things to correct: * DESCRIPTION: shorten it (100 charac max) * SRC_URI: PVR -> PV * src_compile: since it doesn't compile anything, better placed as a src_prepare (add EAPI=2 in the beginning of the ebuild) * src_install: make -> emake, double quotes on ${S} and ${D} * pkg_preinst: use fowners instead of chown See http://devmanual.gentoo.org/, and run repoman in your overlay, it will catch most of these errors.
