Description Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-26 09:47:18 UTC
ebump is a helpfull tool, but it doesn't support svn and git. As most overlays are based on those two scm ebump should support them

http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoolkit/trunk/gentoolkit-dev/src/ebump/ebump?rev=604
Please test :)
(I suggest to use echangelog from svn too)
Comment 2 Christian Ruppert (idl0r) gentoo-dev 2009-05-07 09:03:17 UTC
gentoolkit-dev-0.2.6.11 has been released. I will close after independent
verification that the bug is fixed.
Comment 3 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-05-07 13:11:26 UTC
Everything fine now from gentoolkit-dev-0.2.6.11 onwards.
Just check your /etc/gentoolkit/ebump.conf and change

opt_add_cvs=y    to   opt_add_vcs=y

and remove AUTHOREMAIL/AUTHORNAME from /etc/gentoolkit/ebump.conf, ~/.gentoo/ebump.conf, ~/.gentoo/gentool-env or any other place where you set env variables.

Closing with fixed
