After having updated portage to the release 2.1.6.6, I notice that genlop -c doesn't work any more. I get the following error when running it: Use of uninitialized value in subtraction (-) at /usr/bin/genlop line 720. Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/bin/genlop line 721. Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/bin/genlop line 721. Currently merging out of Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/bin/genlop line 722. * current merge time: 6 days, 19 hours, 16 minutes and 18 seconds. ETA: unknown. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run genlop -c 2. 3. Actual Results: It gives the error mentionned here above Expected Results: A correct result of genlop -c
The reason is that the category is now included in the process output. This prevents the regular expressions from matching on lines 703 and 710 of genlop-0.30.8-r1.
Bug http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=254972 seems to provide a patch for the problem.
