Description Klaas Decanniere 2009-01-09 15:32:10 UTC
building the libperl package ends with the message below.

This is a system I'm installing from scratch, so should be fairly standard.

I considered the upgrade as it is recommended by GLSA

Possibly related to bug# 233389

I have changed MAKEOPTS to -j1, then re-emerged glibc (as this seems to own crt1.o) and re-tried emerging libperl-8.8.2-r2. Still no go

I wil upload the build.log in a minute

Thanks for your help.

Klaas

Well, it does look similar, but
that would also mean it's random and unlikely
to be fixed. Parallel make bugs are often not reproducible
outside original system, sometimes not even on that system
- i.e. it happened to me once in a few dozen of emerges of glib.

But how did you fix it in the end? Switch to -j1 and make -e world?
I'd rather not go that way :-)

I am going to close this bug after >21 months. I don't think this is reproducable today!?
