In the tree long enough and no open bugs.  According to upstream the old versions do not support Amazon anymore, as the ruby-amazon package is obsolete.

ONE:
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy ">=dev-ruby/imagesize-0.1.1" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- dev-ruby/imagesize-0.1.1 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword)

TWO:
# alexandria 
/usr/bin/alexandria:3:in `require': no such file to load -- gettext (LoadError)

My suggestion (with ruby hat on) would be to stabilize this as well if you want to stabilize alexandria. We added it specifically to support alexandria and there are no open bug reports for it.

It looks like your ruby environment is not set up properly. Specifically, you probably don't have RUBYOPT set up as per /etc/env.d/10rubygems

0.6.4 beta 1 is out and announced to be more stable (Alexandria always was a bit shaky)...maybe waiting for the final release and stabilisation of that instead is worth the wait.

0.6.3 crashes way to many during runtime, 0.6.4 is a lot more stable.
