Description Fabio Rossi 2008-12-30 23:22:45 UTC
I have reworked the patch for configure.in already included in portage. Currently we may have two xulrunner slot versions installed, I'll suggest the following list for the precedence (considering also the deps order):

xulrunner-1.9
xulrunner-1.8
mozilla
firefox
seamonkey
iceape

But IMHO there is another bigger problem. The user choice done by USE flags doesn't influence the configure process.

Let's say I have installed directly xulrunner (world file) and I have +firefox -xulrunner USE flags. In this case mplayerplug-in will compile against xulrunner but depend on firefox.

I'm wondering if the xulrunner USE flag is really needed... The aim would be to have a single xulrunner implementation installed in the system and to avoid local copies for each application. What do you think about?

Thanks Fabio for the patch.

It seems like few people have this problem. I wonder what do they use as a plugin for firefox.

Best,
Damian.
