type "about:" in location-bar and look at the version
shut be 3.0.5 but is 1.9.0.5

1.9.0.5 is the version on the xulrunner!

Yes, this is probably correct. Regardless this is not something that *Gentoo* devs can fix. I recommend asking upstream.

Is this mozilla-firefox-bin or mozilla-firefox?

Thats very weird, as it shows 3.0.5 for me...

This is actually due to the fact about: reads the backend info first. If this is actually that big of a problem I will fix it, but if you read the entire page you will see it lists firefoxs correct version as well.

I have fixed this in a local version that I will have added to the tree in a day or so.
