Version 3.8a of ctwm has been around for a long time and gentoo still only has the 3.7 in portage. Here we have an updated ebuild for 3.8a Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -pv ctwm Actual Results: [ebuild U ] x11-wm/ctwm-3.7 Expected Results: [ebuild U ] x11-wm/ctwm-3.8a ctwm supports only gnome, which makes it unnecessary to include gnome support by default as Gentoo only supplies gnome2.
Created attachment 176279 [details] ctwm 3.8 ebuild This allows you decide if you want to build ctwm with jpeg, xpm or sound support and also with a desktop file for gdm if selecting USE=gnome
Created attachment 176281 [details] desktop file for gdm This will execute the /etc/X11/Sessions/ctwm file, in case some one wants to customize it, then starting ctwm from gdm should be the same as with any other login manager.
Created attachment 176283 [details] Manifset file with the proper md5sum and so on Including this file, so that md5sum and other check sums for the files are included.
Created attachment 176410 [details] updated ctwm 3.8a ebuild Updated creation date and version in the head of the ebuild.
A question: There is a colection of different ctwm themes, would a such thing be included in the ctwm ebuild itself or would it be possible to see a new ebuild for that?
(In reply to comment #5) > A question: There is a colection of different ctwm themes, would a such thing > be included in the ctwm ebuild itself or would it be possible to see a new > ebuild for that? > If the author doesn't include them in the tarball, then we usually don't want to add them ourselves. You may want to write a separate ebuild (ctwm-themes) if needed.
Fixed. I didn't introduce the new USE flags. Maybe some other time.
