Trying to emerge links-2.2 with the directfb USE flag results in fail.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable directfb USE flag, such as in /etc/portage/package.use:
www-client/links -X fbcon directfb

2. emerge -av links


Actual Results:  
 * 
 * ERROR: www-client/links-2.2 failed.
 * Call stack:
 *               ebuild.sh, line   49:  Called src_compile
 *             environment, line 2533:  Called die
 * The specific snippet of code:

 *  The die message:
 *   make failed
 *

links-2.3_pre1 builds fine
