When installing Akonadi, the server starts and does not complain. But as soon as an application wants to access the database, Akonadi does not work and writes out the following error message:

Could not create client-side bridge, check if Akonadi KResource bridge is installed.

Installing kde-base/kdepim-kresources fixes this. As this package seems to be essential for Akonadi to work, I propose to pull it as a dependency by default.
