>>> Installing media-sound/mplay-0.68 * This package will overwrite one or more files that may belong to other * packages (see list below). You can use a command such as `portageq * owners / <filename>` to identify the installed package that owns a * file. If portageq reports that only one package owns a file then do * NOT file a bug report. A bug report is only useful if it identifies at * least two or more packages that are known to install the same file(s). * If a collision occurs and you can not explain where the file came from * then you should simply ignore the collision since there is not enough * information to determine if a real problem exists. Please do NOT file * a bug report at http://bugs.gentoo.org unless you report exactly which * two packages install the same file(s). Could you please attach /var/log/portage/media-sound:mplay-0.68:20081218-184309.log and provide emerge --info as well?
ah well, the build log doesn't reveal any more information. I could reproduce the problem on my stable x86 box when having dev-perl/Audio-Mixer-0.7 and dev-perl/Ogg-Vorbis-Header-PurePerl-0.07 installed. Reassinging to sound herd.
*** Bug 257885 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I just marked 0.80 stable on x86. This version doesn't install bundled perl modules. If you have collisions while updating, uninstall mplay-0.68 first.
