Description lily 2008-12-09 09:26:09 UTC
I have upgraded my glibc to glibc-2.9,
Then, when I execute locale-gen, Segmentation fault was found.

like this:
# /usr/bin/localedef -c -i en_US -f UTF-8 -A /usr/share/locale/locale.alias –prefix / en_US.UTF-8
Segmentation fault

this is my /etc/locale.gen
# grep -vE ^# /etc/locale.gen
en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
zh_CN.UTF-8 UTF-8

And then, I copy a same version binary file from my friend, and overwrite the /usr/bin/localedef file, locale-gen is complete successful, and my system seen to be OK.
Is sys-libs/glibc-2.9_p20081201 has any problem?

Reproducible: Always
