I'm reporting this bug since repoman issued a warning about a file bigger than 20KiB.

Big files should be moved to mirrors, or otherwise stored outside the main cvs tree, since the cvs/rsync tree is downloaded by all users, whether they'll use your package or not.

Why not?  We really should mirror these instead of sticking them into the tree...

No, they aren't, but http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo/src/ looks like a much better place to keep gcc-config so that we can easily track it.

And neither are rsync trees ;)

Anyway, it is pretty trivial to plop the file into /space/distfiles-local, add mirror://gentoo/$(file) to SRC_URI, and then do stuff with it relative to WORKDIR instead of FILESDIR.

Just my 2 cents.
