After reinstalling all effected packages with -kerberos, I removed mit-krb5 because it was not being used by any installed packages according to paludis. When I tried to rebuild totem it failed when it tried to link to krb5. I checked on another system that had totem installed: ldd /usr/bin/totem | grep krb libkrb5.so.3 => /usr/lib/libkrb5.so.3 (0x00007f3216505000) libgssapi_krb5.so.2 => /usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2 (0x00007f3215eaf000) libkrb5support.so.0 => /usr/lib64/libkrb5support.so.0 (0x00007f320e9ac000) Totem obviously depends on mit-krb5 but does not list it as a DEPEND The workaround is to reinstall mit-krb5 Reproducible: Always
Same problem here. Remerging of dev-libs/totem-pl-parser helped in my case.
In these cases it's best to use revdep-rebuild just to make sure.
(In reply to comment #2) > In these cases it's best to use revdep-rebuild just to make sure. I've done this of course. But for some reason it didn't reveal totem-pl-parser.
