when xchat is configured to play a sound on a new message and that file is not available (e.g. after an update of xchat) Xchat pops up a message box informing the user that the file can not be read. This Popup is opened for every new message - even if it is already open. I currently have more than 500 Popups on my Desktop an one of the CPU's is completely taken by Xchat, because I use a bouncer and it replayed the log. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure xchat to play a sound on a new message 2. delete the soundfile 3. start xchat Actual Results: a lot of message boxes overlapping everywhere Expected Results: one messagebox at the first attempt to play the sound - no message boxes on the following attempts to play the sound
Please report this problem upstream. There's nothing we can do about that.
