Description Patrick Naubert 2003-07-16 13:35:35 UTC
"Well, duh...." I know, I know....

When I do an emerge --update --pretend apache I am told that apache 2.x will be
installed.

I am using apache 1.3.x and using the -apache2 flag. It would be nice if apache
itself actually honored that flag and that ebuild was not considered for update.
I have no idea if Portage can actually do this (have a USE flag dunk the whole
ebuild and not just a dependancy).

Thx

Pat

its a SLOT issue ...

there is also other bugs related to preventing packages being emerged based upon
things you have - in your USE flag, but eh, crawl bugzilla for it ;)
