Description Gürkan 2008-11-07 13:32:14 UTC
Hi, i can't send files via bluetooth. Computer accepts files which from other side, but can't send. When i want to send a file, i see this warning (Method "CreateBluetoothSession" with signature "ss" on interface "org.openobex.Manager" doesn't exist)

I was thinking that's about new complied zen-sources kernel, but i can see the problem on gentoo-sources too. This happened after an upgrade of bluetooth related packages (i can't remember which). System is ~arch and almost every package has their last version. Locale is tr_TR.UTF-8. Here is emerge --info and some package informations..

Reproducible: Always

 seqizz # emerge --info
 * Overlay eclass overrides eclass from PORTDIR:
 *
 *   '/usr/local/portage/layman/arcon/eclass/bzr.eclass'
 *
 * It is best to avoid overriding eclasses from PORTDIR because it will
 * trigger invalidation of cached ebuild metadata that is distributed with
 * the portage tree. If you must override eclasses from PORTDIR then you
 * are advised to add FEATURES="metadata-transfer" to /etc/make.conf and to
 * run `emerge --regen` after each time that you run `emerge --sync`. Set
 * PORTAGE_ECLASS_WARNING_ENABLE="0" in /etc/make.conf if you would like to
 * disable this warning.

I believe you'll need to downgrade app-mobilephone/obex-data-server from 0.4.2 to 0.3.2.
Comment 2 Gürkan 2008-11-07 19:51:36 UTC
Umm, thanks.. That works..
Is that a known bug?
Or are you waiting to hardmask that pack :)
However, fixed, thanks.
Comment 3 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-11-08 03:46:36 UTC
It appears to be a non-backwards compatible bump. Some parts of the gnome bt stack will need to be updated.
