This is for GCC 4.3 stabilisation.  Please add arches as you see fit. Thanks.

cc'ing arches.

Epix doesn't come with any test routines but you may 
check that all is well by grabbing the epix file
butterfly.xp from my dev space [1] and executing

epix butterfly.xp

which should create butterfly.eepic (to be used in
a latex document); in addition 

flix --frames 1 --only-png butterfly.xp

should create butterfly-frame1.png, a png image of
a mathematical curve.
