Hello, i'm not sure if i can ask this in here but i'd like to tag sys-apps/apmd for removal because it is near impossible to have with HAL. apmd-3.2.2_p5 wants >=sys-power/powermgmt-base-1.22 this is a problem really because: [blocks B ] sys-power/powermgmt-base ("sys-power/powermgmt-base" is blocking sys-power/pm-utils-1.1.2.1) an earlier version causes a collision: * package sys-apps/apmd-3.2.1_p4 NOT merged * * Detected file collision(s): * * /usr/share/man/man1/on_ac_power.1.bz2 * /usr/bin/on_ac_power * * Searching all installed packages for file collisions... * * Press Ctrl-C to Stop * * sys-power/pm-utils-1.1.2.1 * /usr/bin/on_ac_power * /usr/share/man/man1/on_ac_power.1.bz2 * * Package 'sys-apps/apmd-3.2.1_p4' NOT merged due to file collisions. If * necessary, refer to your elog messages for the whole content of the * above message. Reproducible: Always
apmd is for really old machines (think pI i586, ...). Do you need hal on such a machine ?
I think this is a dupe of bug 255249 (yes, it's newer but has had much more "action" that this one)
agreed with last comment. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 255249 ***
