microblog-purple is a libpurple plug-in supporting microblog services like Twitter. It lets you get updates in real time in a pidgin conversation window, as well as post to your twitter account.

Ebuild was written and tested by me, it fails on FEATURES="multilib-strict" and I have an issue opened for it already here: http://code.google.com/p/microblog-purple/issues/detail?id=35

If there is no generic herd to maintain this package, I will gladly proxy maintain it. I proxy maintain a few other packages as well, no problem..

Anyone in net-im willing to proxy maintain for me? I already proxy maintain a couple of other builds including: net-misc/suite3270 and net-misc/logjam. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

change depends to net-im/pidgin[gtk]
it works with finch, but you need the gtk flag enabled to compile it ... don't know why :/

Add EAPI="2"

The addition of EAPI="2" to the 0.2.4 ebuild fixes the following error:

!!! Invalid or corrupt dependency specification: 

invalid atom: 'net-im/pidgin[gtk]'

net-im/pidgin[gtk]

This package can not be installed. Please notify the 'x11-plugins

Ok, so 0.3 is out.  I just discovered this plugin for me, so maybe I will keep on using it.  If any of you is still interested in letting this thing go into the main Portage tree, volunteeres I could proxy would be great.
