Description regomodo 2008-10-19 23:20:17 UTC
When "crossdev -t avr -s4" is run it sets "cross-avr/gcc" with "nocxx" USE flag. Therefore avr-g++ is not available.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.crossdev -t avr -s4
2.check portage.use
3.cross-avr/gcc without "-nocxx" in the file

Actual Results:
stage4 avr build without c++ compiler

Expected Results:
stage4 avr build with c++ compiler "/usr/bin/avr-g++"

This didn't happen to me 6months ago (i may have forgotten) but it appears to a recent regression (perhaps). This bug may also be the cause of avr-g++ not being available on my amd64 Gentoo box.

Hiya Jon,

Could you please provide a few more bits of information. The output of "emerge --info" is always helpful. Then the output of emerge -pv cross-avr/gcc (just to double check what USE flags are actually set and which aren't) and then the version of cross-avr/gcc you're trying to build. Thanks... 5:)

Hi Mike, sorry for the duplicate. I've noticed crossdev on my amd64 box is having the same issue. I crosscompiled i686 and i586 pc-linux-gnu and without putting "-nocxx" in make.conf the stage4 wouldn't actually happen. Anyways, that's a different bug i guess.
