While running this command: emerge net-www/apache dev-lang/php net-www/mod_ssl

I got:

checking for shared memory maximum segment size... configure: error: Unable to 
determine maximum shared memory segment size

!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.

Donny, there also does not seem to be a ChangeLog file in there...

this isnt really a bug in the documentation.
rather it is a build problem with dev-libs/mm.

however i've commited an update to cvs, mm-1.1.3-r1.ebuild.
i wonder if this fixes your problem.

if it doesnt, please report a new bug on dev-libs/mm not
the documentation.

Donny, I meant the ChangeLog file in the portage directory for this.  Trond
reports that the new ebuild suffers the same problem.  I only added the
ChangeLog remark, coz it was related to this bug, and a trivial fix, which I see
you've done :)
