Description solar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-07-05 23:42:30 UTC
Any problems with adding LDFLAGS to ebuild.sh?

I've been testing this patch on and off for the past few days for both the
positive and negative effects with the help of Alexander Gabert
<pappy@nikita.ath.cx> We have not encountered any problems directly related to
having the support there.

So as per carpaski's request on 03 Jul 2003 a mail was sent off to the
gentoo-core mailing list to see if there would be any problems/objections and
for a little more input for the "just in case"

There we no objections.
Support from kumba@gentoo.org was requested for ASFLAGS as well.

Note:
No Changes are needed in make.{conf, defaults} for this
Not adding support for this would make some of the work I solar@gentoo.org do
for gentoo linux moot.

Be nice to if the rest of portage itself knew something about it.
As in # emerge info | grep LDFLAGS

added for 49_pre1

emerge -v info | grep WHATEVER

I apologise for this bugspam, but I wish to close this product, so I need to
move all the bugs.
