Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce that failure. Maybe the build sandbox is interfering with attempts to access /var/mail or /var/spool/mail? Anyway, specifying "--with-mailboxdir=/var/spool/mail" at ./configure time should remedy the problem.

Is this still a problem with mapson-3.3?
