Description Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-09-29 09:01:57 UTC
New version is out. New features are impressive
http://stellarium.org/features_in_0.10.0.php

Please, bump whenever you find time to write ebuild.
Comment 1 Zeev Tarantov 2008-10-05 18:00:20 UTC
Copying the previous version ebuild works. Only thing you have to change is the file extension of the tarball - they changed it from .tar.gz to .tgz:

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/stellarium/stellarium-0.10.0.tgz
Comment 2 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-06 15:38:13 UTC
That's obviously incorrect since at least the epatch line needs to be removed.

For me, the build fails like this:

/var/tmp/portage/sci-astronomy/stellarium-0.10.0/work/stellarium-0.10.0/po/CMakeLists.txt:48:
ADD_DEPENDENCIES Adding dependency to non-existent target: update-po
Comment 3 Zeev Tarantov 2008-10-09 19:56:11 UTC
With this ebuild:

I get the attached build log. The program works. I have preserved the work dir and any info you want is available upon request.

Stellarium beta1 ebuild v0.10.0
Comment 6 Raphaël Droz 2008-10-25 15:19:11 UTC
Hello (sorry for self-reply) :
I went into cmake files of the stellarium source to make my first ebuild :S
I attached it (and a diff of previous and uploaded ebuild follow this message).

** modifications :
- tgz extension of archive (as said in #1)
- KEYWORDS set to ~amd64 (because of qt and cmake on my arch)
- freetype dependency to slot 2 (as asked in configure)
- the build fails of #2 is due to a dependency of >=cmake-2.4.7 (which is not stable on amd64)
- removal of epatch (as said in #2)
- =x11-libs/qt-4.3*:4 replaced by x11-libs/qt:4 because stellarium-0.10 compile with >=qt-4.4.1

** additions :
- sound use flag because stellarium now allows to "hear" some pulsars and so (but a plugin is needed), in this case sdl-mixer seems to be necessary.
Is this keyword addition [useless|dirty|whatever] ?
Is there a virtual ebuild which should be more generic than sdl-mixer ?
- I tried to use LINGUAS but, of course I need advises and feedbacks :)

** questions :
- Why a curl dependency ?
- is virtual/opengl and virtual/glue mandatory if the ebuilds already depends upon (qt-opengl || ( qt && QT4_BUILT_WITH_USE_CHECK=opengl ) ) ?

Thanks in advance.

0.10.0 has some known issues and doesn't play nice with USE=-nls so we'll skip this version and I'll evaluate 0.10.1 when it comes out in a few days and see if that version is better.
