Can't emerge glibc-2.8_p20080602, crashes at configure part. Succeded to build it in chroot with unpacked stage3 there, emerged it using quickpkg. But it still failes to rebuild. You're right, it doesn't run. How could that be? IA32 emulation is turn on in kernel =(
you also needed to install an amd64 multilib in the first place ...
