New 945GME Intel graphics on my Dell Inspiron 910 is not detected by 915resolution and reports unknown chipset.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.# 915resolution -l

Actual Results:  
program ends with unknown chipset error

Expected Results:  
Program displays video mode information

You shouldn't need 915resolution with newer versions of the xf86-video-intel driver.

Same need for me: I want my framebuffer console going 1024x600 and not 640x480 ;)

I can confirm that the patch works correctly on Intel 945GME.  915resolution, while not needed for Xorg, is still necessary in order to use the native LCD resolution in the framebuffer.  Could we please get that patch into the tree?

with KMS, this should no longer be necessary, right?
